Tiaras are a bit too “blingy” for your wedding? How about a more boho approach? Floral crowns are the perfect mix of nature and elegance. Some brides don’t feel comfortable wearing a veil as they feel it suffocates them, so a simple headpiece still gives the bride a glamorous feel. Most florists will now make these floral crowns to order and, depending on which season your ceremony falls in to, you could have beautiful roses, lilies or smaller sunflower buds placed on top over your neat up-do or mermaid curls. Floral crowns allow an air of creativity and customisability to your day – don’t like that flower there? Move it! It’s that simple. Why not have a few of your wedding party round for a few drinks, a quick catch up and all make floral crowns together? Imagine the look on a little flower girl’s face when you can give her her very own, bespoke, circlet of bright and striking flowers. Check out my favorite styles below...

This has always been a personal favourite of mine in the world of décor – chairs that serve their purpose and look interesting, not just plain and repetitive. Done wrong and it will look like your Grandma’s house at Christmas (bringing out the emergency chairs of varying heights), however done correctly produces an extensive pallet of colours and pattern for the eyes.
Now I’m not saying to grab any old selection of chairs from the garage – some sort of system is needed. Whether you have pretty patterns or just simply monochrome, mismatching chairs can create a formal, yet less militant, setting or an informal wave of colours. We have put together a fabulous Pinterest board for you guys to check out - full of inspiration for quirky and missmatching chairs. Have you been to a wedding with missmatching chairs - what did you think? Get in touch and show us the visuals! We would also love it if you guys could please follow us on Twitter (@maverickbrides) and like us on our Facebook page. We sometimes have exclusive competitions on our social networking pages... and wouldn't want you to miss out! Speaking of which...... don't forget that we are currently offering all new clients a free confetti balloon from Bubblegum Balloons when booking our Fairy Godmother wedding coordination package. For more deets email us today MAVERICKBRIDE@GMAIL.COM Happy Halloween everyone! Do you have plans to hit-up a spooky party this evening? Or maybe your taking the kids trick-or-treating? Whatever your getting up to.. we wish you a spook-tacular evening! So as the title of this blog suggests - today we are introducing you to a new member of the team, Becci! Becci is a newbie to the world of weddings.. however is currently studying for an events management degree at university - so she knows her stuff. I'll hand you over to the lovely Becci herself.. If I had to get married right now..As a new contributor to this blog, and to Elle Maverick in general, I thought I’d write a little bit about me and what my ideal wedding would be like. When I was younger, I always dreamt of this: I loved Disney, tradition and the idea of a fairy tale wedding. The older I have got, the more my perception of what a wedding actually is has changed. If I’m perfectly honest with myself, I was a competitive little kid – if one of my friends had light up trainers, I’d get light up trainers, that kind of thing – so the thought of having a small wedding really confused me. Surely a wedding is a time to show off and make a big exhibition of how in love you and your partner are to everyone. Oh how times have changed. This is now more like my ideal wedding: Over my next few posts, I’ll be going through less traditional wedding ideas if I can (hope you all have a love of Scuba Diving weddings – just kidding) But there we go, my first blog... Over & Out, Becci xx So there you have her.. our newbie on the block - Becci! Keep your eyes peeled for her next post - its good un ;)
